Council on Aging of Volusia County is a private not-for-profit agency partially funded by the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs with funds provided by the Community Care for the Elderly and the Older American's Act being administered by the Area Agency on Aging; ElderSource, the State of Florida Department of Children & Families, and some support from the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties and the County of Volusia. Council on Aging of Volusia County is a Registered 501 (c)(3) Corporation.

May 2010 - Older Americans Month

"What is remarkable is the extent to which older
Americans themselves are supporting each other. They
volunteer at group meal sites and deliver food to homebound
seniors and much more. Their energy and commitment reminds
all Americans—not just senior citizens and their caregivers—
to do their part to enhance the quality of life for older
generations."
