PARTNERS VOLUNTEERS

The Council on Aging’s younger (under the age of 55) Partners Volunteers “partner” with Council on Aging Volunteers to help serve the needs of the elderly in our community. These energetic volunteers work in many capacities including, but not limited to, delivering Meals on Wheels by adopting a MOW route, visiting homebound elders and actively participating in special holiday events.

“Partners Volunteers” range in age from supervised groups of elementary school children to age fifty-four. Annually, Girl Scout Troops and other groups of children volunteer with their parents to make "Angel Tree" ornaments to put on trees throughout the county where customers pick an angel and buy gifts for elder clients to fill their “wish list” during the holidays as a “Make a Wish Day” project.
