The Community Care for the Elderly

The Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) program provides community-based services to those who are most needy to prevent unnecessary institutionalization for persons 60 years of age and older; the Older American Act provides nutrition. Services are provided in the clients' home or in a community setting. COA is required to charge a co-payment for all services rendered based upon a sliding scale co-payment schedule developed by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

Fee for Service

In 1995, the Council on Aging of Volusia County, Inc., (COA) began operation of Private Pay Services (PPS), with the intent of offering the same services as provided under grants, to those who need the services but are ineligible for grant services. Any gains from these services are used by COA to help reduce the need to raise additional funds.
