In 2002 Council on Aging established an
annual fundraiser, 5K Run for Meals on Wheels, to support nutrition
services; in 2004 it was expanded to include other grant funded services.
This added fundraiser complimented the Walk Fundraiser and helped to
generate additional funds which are used to meet a portion of the local
match requirement of the Federal and State grants.
